Municipal actions are focused on cleaning and conditioning areas affected by floods, as well as attending to residents of the Ametller neighborhood, whose homes have suffered significant damage. Concurrently, a technical damage assessment is being conducted to apply for supramunicipal aid.
Recovery work is progressing in various parts of the municipality, including public spaces, mobility, and the restoration of utilities. In the Ca l'Ametller neighborhood, tasks include cleaning muddy streets and removing debris and bulky waste. The Council is collaborating with various entities and companies to condition the area.
A key priority is supporting the residents of Ametller, who have been most affected by the floods. The City Council is providing continuous monitoring, offering personal support and assistance with issues related to the incident. Cleanup of access roads in the Telègraf and Casablanca neighborhoods, and utility restoration in Montornès Nord are also underway.
Regarding municipal facilities, the Rosa Leveroni Library has reopened after water removal. However, the Municipal Sports Zone and CEM Les Vernedes will remain closed due to severe damage requiring extensive rehabilitation. Sports entities have been called to a coordination meeting to address activities.
The Casal de Cultura has also suffered very severe damage. Courses and workshops will be relocated to other facilities like the Hotel d'Entitats, and alternative spaces are being sought for cultural organizations.
The City Council urges maximum caution, asking citizens to avoid approaching affected buildings and flooded areas, and to follow instructions from official channels.
