The Sant Antoni de Vilamajor Town Hall has opened the period for submitting responsible declarations for recreational fires using firewood or branches within 400 meters of forest land, effective until March 15, 2027.

From this Friday, October 16, until March 15, 2027, a responsible declaration must be submitted for recreational fires using firewood or branches conducted within 400 meters of forest land. This measure aims to prevent forest fire risk and ensure public safety and the protection of the natural environment.
The regulation applies to fires made directly on the ground or in barbecues for leisure or festive purposes. Changes have been made from previous seasons: the safety distance is reduced from 500 to 400 meters from forest land, and the procedure is now termed 'responsible declaration' without procedural changes. Municipalities no longer directly manage authorizations for individuals via EACAT.
The responsible declaration should preferably be submitted through the 9PERFOC platform of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Alternatively, it can be processed via the EACAT application for public administrations, under the ARP – Recreational Fire Communication procedure.
The Town Hall emphasizes the importance of respecting current regulations and adopting necessary preventive measures to ensure everyone's safety and protect the municipality's forests.
