Cleanup and recovery efforts in Vilanova del Vallès are continuing after recent floods, with repairs beginning on the Ardenya stream bridge and streets and public spaces being cleared.

Throughout Sunday and Monday, various cleanup, debris removal, and risk prevention actions have been carried out in Vilanova del Vallès to address the impact of recent floods. Work included removing mud and sand, cleaning streets, sidewalks, and drains, as well as removing trees posing a fall risk. Teams from Civil Protection, Firefighters, and volunteer groups participated, supported by specialized vehicles and machinery.
On Sunday, October 11th, cleanup operations were completed at several locations. At the Can Maimó ford, a pending holm oak tree was felled, while on Palma street, accumulated mud was removed with machinery and cleaned with a high-pressure washer. Work also took place on Oriol Martorell street. On Sis de Desembre street, the entire section was cleaned, and on passeig del Sorral, cleanup efforts covered a significant part of the avenue. At the plaça dels Països Catalans, sand was manually removed from the children's play area, and drains were checked for blockages.
In parallel, operations continued on the path from Can Nadal to Xaragall, with manual removal of debris and cleaning of muddy and slippery surfaces. In the industrial estate of Cal Pinxo, teams focused on the old section and the area around Bon Preu, where further cleanup is still required.
On Monday, October 12th, Firefighters responded to Garric street, in the Bosc de Ruscalleda area, to remove a tree threatening electrical cables, with Civil Protection securing the perimeter. On Mogent street, pending cleanup tasks were completed, and the ronda de l’Eixample was cleaned using manual tools and a high-pressure washer, including areas around the school. In Can Nadal, on Alosa street, two trees were felled by Firefighters due to being fallen or posing a risk. On Merla street, number 27, teams from Sant Boi and Constantí continued working in an area affected by soil accumulation, establishing an alternative passage, although machinery is still needed to remove the soil, clean the drain, and stabilize the landslide area.
Although the main affected streets are now clean, some tasks remain pending, particularly in the Cal Pinxo industrial estate, on the path from Can Nadal to Xaragall, and on Merla street. The removal of a cut tree on Mas Ferrer street, near the BP-5002 road, is also scheduled for the coming days.
Regarding the bridge over the BP-5002 road crossing the Ardenya stream, formwork and earth embankment construction began on Monday, with the aim of pouring concrete on Tuesday.
