The Vilanova del Vallès City Council has its Municipal Operational Coordination Centre (CECOPAL) active to address the effects of rainfall and advance the municipality's recovery.

Yesterday, a large emergency response was deployed involving the Local Police, Civil Protection, and Firefighters to handle incidents and ensure public safety. The Local Police mobilized 6 officers, while the Civil Protection unit reached nearly 30 members, including volunteers from neighboring municipalities such as l'Arboç, Arbúcies, Bigues i Riells, l'Ametlla del Vallès, Lliçà d'Amunt, and Montmeló.
Special thanks were given to the collaboration of these teams and municipalities. The Montornès Local Police also assisted in evacuating a car park affected by flooding. The Municipal Brigade worked on cleaning and removing obstacles.
Today was scheduled to begin repair work on affected streets and roads by a contracted company, although this is dependent on the ground conditions. Cleaning, adaptation, and restoration of basic services will also continue.
All actions are subject to meteorological developments, as new rainfall could necessitate changes to the work schedule, with safety always being the top priority. The CECOPAL remains active and is providing updates to the public.
The City Council has expressed gratitude to all emergency and municipal services. Residents are urged to exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow the instructions of emergency services.
