Alcover hosts two Jordi Savall Festival shows featuring circus and music

Alcover will once again be part of the Jordi Savall Festival, celebrating its sixth edition with two musical performances on August 15th and 16th, solidifying its role in contemporary creation.

The municipality of Alcover, in Alt Camp, reaffirms its commitment to the Jordi Savall Festival, an event that has established itself as one of the most prominent cultural projects in the Catalan and European music scene. This sixth edition of the festival, centered around the concept of "Eclipsis" inspired by the great solar eclipse predicted for August 12, 2026, gives a significant role to the locality.
The Convent de les Arts in Alcover is positioned as a fundamental space for artistic residency and cultural production. Within the framework of the festival, it will host two innovative musical proposals.
On Saturday, August 15th, at noon, Saó will be presented, an original creation that fuses circus and music. This work is the result of a collaboration between Mireia Peñalver, Santiago Gervasoni, and Oriol Borràs, promising a unique artistic experience.
The following day, Sunday, August 16th, also at noon, the public will be able to enjoy Das Jahr by Fanny Mendelssohn. This performance will feature Olga Pashchenko on the pianoforte and actress Elena Tarrats, offering a high-quality musical proposal.
