The alert was received shortly after ten o'clock at night via the 112 emergency telephone number, reporting an unusual situation in the municipality of Alt Camp.
The calling resident explained that she had mobility problems and could not free her pet, which had gotten stuck between the seat and the headrest of the furniture.
A unit from the Valls Fire Department quickly traveled to the residence. The crew had to slightly open the sofa to create the necessary space for the dog to exit without injury.
The rescue, which was carried out successfully, allowed the dog, described as medium-to-large, to be returned safe and sound to its owner.
