During a party event in the Alt Camp region, the conservative leader stated that neither Pedro Sánchez nor Oriol Junqueras actually believe in the IRPF (income tax) proposals they are discussing. Fernández described the political maneuvers as a 'scam,' claiming that both parties are misleading the public.
“"They are deceiving each other and deceiving the citizens. I can imagine Sánchez, Junqueras, Illa, and Puigdemont acting like street swindlers on the Ramblas."
Furthermore, the PPC leader warned that his party will challenge the housing policies agreed upon by the Catalan Government and the Comuns in the Constitutional Court. He argued that attempts to limit speculative buying are overly interventionist and harmful to the economy.
Fernández concluded by accusing left-wing parties of trying to 'Cubanize' the housing market in Catalonia and Spain, asserting that such regulations ultimately produce the opposite of their intended effects.
