The fire, which was detected at 1:58 PM, is being fueled by a sea breeze that complicates extinction efforts. A total of 21 ground units from the Firefighters have been deployed to the scene, joined by six aerial resources to try and contain the spread of the flames through the forest.

Emergency teams continue to assess the situation on the ground. So far, no homes have been affected, nor have any injuries or casualties been reported due to the fire.
