C-14 highway closed in Valls following serious head-on collision

A serious traffic accident has forced the closure of the C-14 highway near Valls this Tuesday morning, following a head-on collision between a truck and a van.

The incident occurred at kilometer 26 within the municipality of Valls at approximately 7:26 AM. According to the Bombers de la Generalitat, the two vehicles crashed head-on for reasons still under investigation.
The impact caused the van to overturn, leaving the driver trapped inside. Four fire crews were dispatched to the scene to perform extraction maneuvers and free the victim from the wreckage.
The Emergency Medical System (SEM) deployed a medical helicopter to treat those involved. The highway remains closed in both directions as emergency teams continue their work on-site.
