The incident occurred around 5:45 PM in the parking lot of a supermarket in the capital of Alt Camp. A car entered the parking lot erratically and collided with a lamppost, breaking it.
When a Local Police patrol arrived at the scene, the man attempted to flee by hiding among the parked vehicles, but officers quickly located him.
Given the evident signs of intoxication, officers informed the individual that he had to undergo a breathalyzer test for causing an accident. The man flatly refused to take it.
As officers tried to persuade him to take the test, the man became increasingly aggressive, assaulting three officers. He was subsequently subdued and arrested. Three officers sustained minor injuries.
The man faces charges including assaulting and resisting police officers, refusing a breathalyzer test, driving under the influence of alcohol, and causing a traffic accident.
