The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 AM at kilometer 26, between the towns of Valls and Alcover. The crash involved a van, a truck, and a passenger car. The van driver was killed instantly, while two other people sustained minor injuries.

Four Bombers de la Generalitat units attended the scene to recover the victim's body. The injured individuals were taken to the Pius Hospital de Valls for treatment. This marks the fifth road death in the Tarragona province so far in 2026.

The C-14 road remained closed in both directions for several hours, causing significant traffic disruptions. Local authorities advised drivers to seek alternative routes while emergency teams worked on clearing the site.
