Project RE has concluded an artistic creation residency at the Convent de les Arts in Alcover, featuring artists Anaïs Florin and Elías Taño, as part of its 'Resignificar' phase.

Project RE has concluded an artistic creation residency that took place last weekend at the Convent de les Arts in Alcover. This initiative is part of the project's second phase, titled “Resignificar”, which aims to recover the memory of small businesses and foster collective processes around closed spaces in the historic center of Alcover.
This stage of the project is currently halfway through its development, having involved conversations with residents, tours of the town, and creative stays that have helped shape the project's narrative. At the end of May, part of the team attended the GetxoPhoto International Image Festival in the Basque Country, where they exchanged ideas on using imagery as a social tool with internationally renowned artists and curators.
The ideas generated from this meeting were brought to the local area during the weekend at the Convent de les Arts in Alcover. The venue hosted a working and cohabitation stay where the team shared workshops and creative spaces with artists Anaïs Florin and Elías Taño, known for their work in community culture.
This graphic and conceptual collaboration will continue next September, when participants of Project RE will travel to Valencia for a collective exchange stay and a work residency, aiming to finalize the narrative for the exhibition planned for the end of the year.
