The Els Garidells Town Council has informed residents of the Font de la Roca urbanization about the completion of paving and sewage works, and has launched a participatory process to define future improvements.

The Els Garidells Town Council has notified residents of the Font de la Roca urbanization about the conclusion of paving and sewage works. The information session, held at the sociocultural center, also served to gather suggestions for future actions in the area.
This project has enabled the installation of a new wastewater drainage network, a key infrastructure for the urbanization's services and an essential preliminary step for future connection to the treatment plant promoted by the Catalan Water Agency. The council emphasized that having the network executed facilitates integration once the treatment plant project becomes a reality.
The works, funded by the PUOSC, included the renovation of the pavement, excavation for the new sewage network up to the inspection chambers for each home, backfilling of trenches, and final street paving. Connections for future housing hookups have been prepared, and the width of the streets Camí de la Font and B has been extended to eight meters, creating parking spaces and planters to improve the urban environment.

"We believe it was an important political commitment and that we needed to be prepared."

Marta Dugué Sas · Mayor of Els Garidells
Mayor Marta Dugué Sas highlighted that the action responds to a priority of the municipal government, emphasizing the importance of being ready for the treatment plant, a project not directly dependent on the Town Council. She stated that the council has fulfilled its part and continues to advocate for the treatment plant.
The meeting also initiated a dialogue on future actions in the urbanization, valuing citizen participation to identify needs and define priorities. The mayor thanked residents for their patience during the works, acknowledging the inconveniences caused by noise, traffic disruptions, and access modifications.
