The incident occurred minutes before 11 AM on Sant Jordi street in Alcover, when a natural gas pipe was found to be affected. The situation caused concern among residents, although no personal injuries or gas accumulation were reported in nearby homes.

Up to four firefighter units were dispatched to the scene to secure the area and inspect adjacent buildings. The inspection of homes near the leak point yielded negative results, confirming no gas accumulation.

Emergency teams proceeded to temporarily seal the leak point while awaiting the arrival of utility company workers for the final repair. The operation was concluded at quarter to one in the afternoon.
