The Autumn Festival of Sant Feliu de Llobregat has officially begun with the ringing of bells and the presentation of the Honorary Scarf, and will continue until Monday October 12th.

The inaugural event, held in the Council Chamber of the City Council, was attended by the mayor, Lourdes Borrell, and the Councilor for Culture, Ana Cubet. Both highlighted the cultural activism trajectory of Àngel Merino, who received the Honorary Scarf this year. Merino, who served as Councilor for Culture from 1983 to 1991 and mayor of the city from 2000 to 2003, was the initiator of the award itself and of citizen participation in organizing the festivities.
Subsequently, the delegation, led by the mayor, the councilor, and the recipient, moved to the City Council balcony. From there, and in front of attendees on Laureà Miró street, the Honorary Scarf was officially presented. The lighting of a firecracker and a pillar formation by the castellers of Sant Feliu concluded the institutional act.
The celebration will continue for five days with a program that includes music, shows, and popular culture, featuring activities designed for all ages and tastes. The Seguici and Ball d'Entremesos are among the highlighted events that will fill the city's streets.
