The alert was received shortly before 9 AM on April 29, reporting a gas leak at number 82 of Sant Francesc street. The workers, who were carrying out tasks on a construction site, inadvertently caused the pipeline to break.

A unit of Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, where they managed to temporarily seal the hole. Subsequently, they awaited the arrival of technicians from the gas supply company, who were responsible for the definitive repair.

The Local Police of Valls also intervened to control traffic in the area and ensure the safety of pedestrians and residents. The swift action of the emergency services allowed the incident to be resolved without major complications, resulting in just a scare.
