The Casa de la Cultura in Mont-ral hosted last Saturday the screening of the documentary "Jordi Mir. Pompeufabrant Catalunya", a notable event within the 58th Catalan Language Flame Renewal.

The town of Mont-ral was the setting last Saturday, June 13th, for a cultural event that brought together numerous residents and enthusiasts of the Catalan language and culture. The Casa de la Cultura hosted the screening of the documentary Jordi Mir. Pompeufabrant Catalunya, an initiative part of the 58th Catalan Language Flame Renewal.
The work, directed by Josep Alcover, reviews the career and thought of Jordi Mir, a renowned linguist and writer, a key figure in the defense and dissemination of Catalan. Several personalities attended the event, including Jordi Mir himself, Josep Casanovas (vice-president of the FEEC), Josep Moragas (President of the AAMP), and Lluís Colomes (president of the organizing committee for the Catalan Language Flame Renewal).
The screening, which began at half past seven in the evening, highlighted the richness of the Catalan language and culture. After the viewing, a discussion forum was opened with active participation from attendees, despite Mont-ral being a small municipality.
The evening concluded with a community dinner, strengthening the sense of community and coexistence among participants. According to organizational sources, attendance and participation in the discussion were "very good," expressing great satisfaction with the interest generated by the documentary and the subsequent talk.
