A large security operation, involving the Mossos d'Esquadra and Valls Local Police, concluded with the arrest of twelve individuals and the identification of over 300 in the historic center of Alt Camp's capital.

The operation, which ran from February 20 to March 26, was the result of collaboration between various security forces, including the National Police, the Civil Guard, and Labor Inspection personnel. The action was carried out within the framework of Organic Law 4/2015 on the Protection of Citizen Security.
During the operation, the Mossos d'Esquadra identified a total of 328 people, who had accumulated 1,729 police records. Additionally, 81 vehicles were inspected at various checkpoints. Seventeen reports were filed for infringements of Organic Law 4/2015, with twelve for possession of narcotics and five for possession of bladed weapons.
Among the twelve arrested, there were individuals with active arrest warrants from courts in Catalonia and Gijón. Four people were arrested for illegal occupation of dwellings using bladed weapons, and three more for electricity fraud, dwelling occupation, and drug trafficking. One of the latter had five pending arrest warrants. Other arrests included an individual with a prohibition order from residing in Valls, one for assaulting law enforcement officers, and one for possession of 400 grams of marijuana in public.
The Valls Local Police recorded 46 administrative infractions, while the National Police issued sixteen citations for immigration law infringements, arrested one person for admission to the CIE, and filed seven infractions related to labor and social security matters. The Civil Guard, for its part, filed 27 reports for tax, labor, and health-related infringements, and seized 15.4 kilograms of tobacco.
Following a fire caused by electricity fraud, an indoor plantation with 250 marijuana plants was discovered, and the tenant was arrested. In total, 800 grams of marijuana and 60 grams of cocaine and heroin were seized. The operation also included sixteen inspections of premises, resulting in one arrest for drug trafficking and the detection of various infringements. Five people were reported for electricity fraud, eight for dwelling occupation, and a stolen motorcycle was recovered.
These coordinated actions have contributed to an improvement in security in the area, with a 26.12% decrease in property crimes in Valls and a 14.29% decrease in Alt Camp. Since March 30, active patrolling has begun in Valls' Old Quarter to identify occupants of some sixty dwellings and verify potential electricity fraud.
