The Valls City Council has completed the renovation of the Fornàs Sports Center's boiler room, improving the energy efficiency and comfort of the facilities.

The works have replaced the old boilers, operational since 1991, with three new, more efficient units. This initiative aims to reduce energy consumption and optimize the use of the pavilion's indoor pools.
The total investment amounted to 59,544.76 euros, with the project carried out by the company Gravisa SL. The work was completed during the facility's two-week annual maintenance period.
This renovation significantly enhances the heating system for both the large and small pools, which together hold over 700,000 liters of water. Hot water supply to the showers has also been improved with the installation of individual temperature selectors.
This intervention is part of ongoing improvements at the sports center. In previous years, solar panels and LED lighting were installed in the sports areas.
