Six individuals have been imprisoned as a result of a police operation targeting an indoor marijuana cultivation network in Cabra del Camp, Alt Camp.

The Mossos d’Esquadra and the Policia Nacional have released the final report on a joint operation against a criminal network involved in large-scale marijuana cultivation in Cabra del Camp. The operation resulted in 14 arrests, with six individuals subsequently remanded in custody by judicial order.
The operation, conducted on June 3rd, involved 15 simultaneous raids and searches across various properties in the municipality. During these searches, officers dismantled 12 marijuana plantations. Eleven of these were fully operational and ready for harvest, while in another location, the crop had already been collected days prior.
In total, over 5,000 marijuana plants at different growth stages and 40 kilograms of buds prepared for distribution were seized. The investigation suggests the properties operated in coordination to ensure continuous production and a steady income for the organization.
The operation mobilized more than 350 police officers. In addition to the drugs, authorities also confiscated 14,000 euros in cash, a pistol, a hunting shotgun, a replica firearm, various types of ammunition, and two large machetes.
The investigation began in May when both police forces detected parallel lines of inquiry targeting the same criminal network. A Joint Investigation Team was formed to coordinate the operation and swiftly dismantle the network.
The 14 detainees were brought before the judicial authority, suspected of drug trafficking, electricity fraud, and illegal possession of weapons. The court ordered pre-trial detention for six of the arrested individuals.
