The special Kanpai operation, focused on preventing repeat offenses, weapon possession, and street drug use, resulted in 16 arrests. The 523 identified individuals collectively have 1,620 prior police records.
During the operation, 37 fines were issued for possession of narcotic substances, 5 for carrying prohibited weapons, and 38 traffic violations. Of the traffic offenses, 5 were for driving without a license, and 6 vehicles were immobilized for lacking insurance.
Furthermore, the Department of Labour issued administrative sanctions at three inspected venues, including a nightclub in Calafell that allowed underage access.
The operation spanned several municipalities in the Tarragonès, Baix Camp, Alt Camp, Priorat, and Baix Penedès regions, with collaboration from the Guardia Urbana, local police forces, the Guardia Civil, the National Police, and the Department of Labour. The initiative also aims to enhance public safety and citizen coexistence.
