The large tree gave way at the roots for reasons yet to be investigated, falling onto various pieces of urban furniture, including benches and trash cans. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
The Local Police of Valls immediately cordoned off the area to ensure safety. The incident does not affect traffic in the vicinity of the square.
Tomorrow morning, the municipal gardening brigade will cut down the fallen tree. Additionally, environmental technicians will inspect the condition of other trees in the square, as they are of the same species and size, to rule out potential future risks.
