The city of Valls hosted a festive day dedicated to popular culture this Saturday, focusing on the celebration of the Lleó de Valls' 15th anniversary and the unveiling of its new crown.

The event, named "L’Envelat" and organized by the Unió Anelles de la Flama, highlighted crowns as a festive symbol. The celebration coincided with the milestone of the Lleó de Valls, which debuted a new crown designed by Carme Garreta.
Activities commenced at the Biblioteca Popular with a talk by Valls Folklòrica on "The art of metal in festivals." Speakers included Lluís Musté, the builder of the Lleó de Valls, and the creator of the new crown.
Concurrently, the passeig dels Caputxins hosted a Showcase of crowned elements from Catalonia. This gathering brought together invited figures such as the Lleó de Reus, the Àliga de Tàrrega, the Gegants Reis de Badalona, the Lleó de Lleida, the Àliga del Vendrell, and the Gegants Coloms de Sant Andreu de Palomar, alongside the host Lleó.
Around midday, a parade wound through the city center, passing through emblematic locations like the Font de la Manxa, Jaume Huguet street, the Pati, Cort street, Plaça del Blat, Major street, l'Escrivania, the Jueus street, Carnisseria street, and Plaça de les Garrofes.
The day concluded at Plaça de les Garrofes with the anticipated performance dances by each group and a closing celebration that drew a large audience.
