This initiative follows a meeting held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, between the municipal government and Albert Queralt, president of the works council at the Valls factory. The plan encompasses career guidance, specialized training, mediation with other companies, and support for entrepreneurship.
According to the Valls City Council, the program was developed based on an individualized diagnosis of each case, allowing for the creation of a personalized pathway for each worker. The primary goal is to facilitate their re-entry into the labor market.
Vallsgenera will also make its training offerings available to those affected, designed to enhance skills, acquire new knowledge, and adapt to current labor market demands. The plan also considers the possibility of professional reorientation towards sectors with higher demand.
Furthermore, affected workers will have access to specific programs that combine training and employment, aiming for faster job placement. Concurrently, support will be provided to individuals who wish to start their own business or project.
