The accident occurred at 07:29 AM at kilometer point 26.1. According to the Catalan Transit Service, a third passenger car was also involved. Emergency services, including Mossos d'Esquadra and Bombers de la Generalitat, attended the scene to recover the victim from the overturned vehicle.

Two other drivers were taken to the Pius Hospital in Valls with minor injuries. The C-14 road remained closed in both directions, with traffic diverted to the T-742. This incident brings the provisional death toll on Catalan roads to 19 this year.
