Van driver killed in head-on collision on C-14 highway in Alcover

The fatal crash involved a truck and a car, leaving two others slightly injured on Tuesday morning.

A van driver lost his life on March 17th following a head-on collision with a truck on the C-14 highway in Alcover, according to the Catalan Traffic Service.

The accident occurred at 07:29 AM at kilometer point 26.1. The impact caused the van to overturn, trapping the driver inside. Firefighters deployed four units to extract the victim's body from the wreckage.
Two other individuals involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Pius Hospital in Valls. Emergency services, including Mossos d'Esquadra police and a medical helicopter, attended the scene.
The C-14 road was closed in both directions following the incident, with traffic diverted to the T-742 road. This fatality brings the total number of road deaths in Catalonia this year to 19.
