The Assemblea Nacional Catalana believes that the additional 4.7 billion euros do not correct the structural fiscal deficit.

The National Secretariat of the Assemblea Nacional Catalana (ANC), meeting in Flix, urged pro-independence parties to reject the new financing model agreed upon by ERC and the PSOE this Saturday.

The pro-independence organization approved a firm position against the agreement, which is also endorsed by the PSC, arguing that the figure of 4.7 billion euros in additional funds does not solve Catalonia's structural fiscal deficit problem.

The additional 4.7 billion euros do not represent a correction of the structural fiscal deficit, but rather a redistribution derived from the cyclical growth of revenue collection.

For this reason, the Assemblea asks political groups “not to validate the fiscal plunder” and to reject the proposal as it stands. In its statement, the ANC warns that the independence movement urgently needs a change in strategy.
Separately, during the same National Secretariat meeting, Jordi Alsina was elected as the entity's new treasurer, having secured support exceeding the necessary two-thirds majority. Alsina replaces Jaume Valls, who resigned for personal and professional reasons but will remain part of the secretariat.
