The Valls City Council is finalizing improvement works on Pont de Goi street, in the Xamora neighborhood, after an investment of 85,000 euros, concluding a 2025 year with 5 million invested in public space.

The improvement works on Pont de Goi street, located in the Xamora neighborhood of Valls, are entering their final phase. This project, which began in late October, has allowed for the renovation of 350 meters of sidewalk and the complete replacement of the water network, an essential intervention to guarantee a more efficient and safe service. The project involved an investment of 85,000 euros and is part of the public road maintenance and improvement plan promoted by the City Council.
The completion of this work symbolizes the close of the 2025 fiscal year, during which the Valls City Council allocated around 5 million euros to public space works and maintenance. Of this amount, 3.3 million euros were invested in asphalt paving and improvements in thirty streets, including works on Paborde, Freixa, Bisbe Mora, and Narcís Oller streets, in addition to the side road of the Pla highway near the industrial estate.
In parallel, the local administration advanced the modernization of public lighting with the installation of LED technology in fifty streets, representing an investment of 425,000 euros. These improvements reached neighborhoods like Sant Josep Obrer and areas such as the square and promenade of Mas Clariana. Other notable actions in 2025 included the comprehensive renovation of playgrounds in the Santa Magdalena, La Candela, and Santa Úrsula neighborhoods, and upgrades to Parc del Vilar.
Looking ahead to 2026, the City Council maintains its commitment to urban improvement. Among the most important projects is the reform of a new section of Passeig Tarradellas, with a planned investment of 208,000 euros, affecting the stretch between President Companys square and Cinc de Vuit street. Work will also be carried out on Creu de Cames street, in the Fraternal neighborhood, a 230,000 euro project chosen through participatory budgeting.
