The Trail Cap de Creus organization has decided to cancel the 2026 edition, scheduled for Sunday, January 18, due to adverse weather forecasts that compromised the safety and integrity of all participants.

The decision was made with the primary goal of ensuring the safety and integrity of all participants given the imminent arrival of heavy rain. The organization evaluated several scenarios, including potential adaptations of the route or distance changes, but these were ultimately ruled out.

The impossibility of postponing the event is mainly due to the fact that the race takes place entirely within the protected environment of the Parc Natural del Cap de Creus.

The need to strictly comply with the current environmental regulations of the Parc Natural del Cap de Creus was the determining factor that prevented the organization from having enough leeway to find a viable new date within 2026.
Registered participants have three options to manage their fee: request a full refund of the amount, make a voluntary donation to the organization, or transfer their registration to participate in the Trail Costa Brava, which will take place on March 21, 2026, starting from Palamós.
