The incident occurred around one o'clock in the afternoon last Thursday on the connecting road GI-623, located in the Alt Empordà region. The fire started consuming the car, generating a visible smoke column.

The alert required the mobilization of three units of the Generalitat Firefighters, who quickly moved to the incident site, located within the municipality of Saus.

The swift response by the crews was essential to quickly control the situation. Although the flames spread to the adjacent forest mass, the emergency services confirmed that very little vegetation was burned. Firefighters subsequently focused on extinguishing the hot spots to ensure total containment.
