Óscar Ureña, the top scorer for Barça Atlètic and native of Figueres, will be sidelined until March after fracturing his right collarbone, interrupting his excellent run of form.

Óscar Ureña, 22, underwent surgery in early December after suffering a fracture to his right collarbone. This injury will keep him off the pitch for about three months, according to the medical report from the club. This new physical setback comes just as the Figueres winger was enjoying his best season yet.
Ureña had established himself as the offensive reference for Barça Atlètic, leading the team's scoring charts with 7 goals in just 11 matches played. After a couple of quiet years on loan at Cartagena and Leganés (while belonging to Girona), his signing for the Barça reserve team in the summer of 2024 marked a turning point.

The explosion of the international player with the Dominican Republic has translated into good results for Barça Atlètic.

The player, who debuted with the Girona first team in 2021 under Míchel, had overcome the physical problems that plagued him last season. Under the direction of Juliano Belletti, Ureña had recovered his attractive and unbalancing style of play, characterized by excellent one-on-one skills.
The absence of the top scorer has had a direct impact on the reserve team's results. Barça Atlètic, currently fifth in Segunda RFEF, has not managed to win a single match since Ureña sustained the injury during the game against Barbastre.
