The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, stated on Saturday, January 24, that the Rodalies commuter rail service in Catalonia is "seriously affected" due to the extensive "meteorological destruction" of recent days.

The Minister made these statements via the social network X, where he attached images of Adif personnel carrying out repair work throughout the night. These efforts were focused particularly on the R1 line, one of the most damaged sections.

"The Rodalies service has been seriously affected because the meteorological destruction of these days has also been very great."

The R1 line suffered a significant landslide on Friday afternoon, specifically on the stretch located between the stations of Maçanet-Massanes and Blanes. This incident is one of the critical points keeping the network collapsed.
As a consequence of the damage, the Rodalies and Regional services are operating only partially throughout Saturday, with numerous sections of the Catalan railway network remaining closed or operating with significant restrictions.
