The Department of Agriculture has opened an investigation into a farm in Capmany, Alt Empordà, for failing to vaccinate all cows against Contagious Nodular Dermatosis, which has caused a new outbreak.

Minister Òscar Ordeig announced the opening of the file this Thursday, confirming that the Capmany farm has become a new focus of the disease. This outbreak requires the culling of 106 cows to contain the spread.
The investigation seeks to determine whether sanctions will be applied for failing to comply with the mandatory vaccination requirement, a crucial preventive measure for the health of Catalan livestock.
