A malfunction in one of the air conditioning system's compressors at the Vilafant CAP is causing the center to operate below full capacity, particularly during the hottest afternoons. This results in higher temperatures in some consultation rooms and areas.
Sources from the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) have reported that technicians are awaiting a new replacement part to repair the equipment. The component is expected to arrive in the coming days and will be installed to restore normal air conditioning function.
The ICS has acknowledged receiving a formal complaint from a user regarding the heat but states that recorded temperatures have not exceeded regulatory limits, thus auxiliary cooling systems have not been deemed necessary.
The incident has not necessitated any changes to the center's appointment schedule or healthcare activities. However, when conditions require, staff and patients are moved to rooms with more suitable temperatures.
ICS sources indicated that "work is already underway to resolve this issue in the coming days," depending on the timely arrival and installation of the replacement compressor.
