Aliança Catalana is shaping its lists for the 2027 municipal elections, bringing in independent profiles who previously belonged to parties like Junts and the PSC.

The party, which gained representation in the Catalan Parliament in 2024, faces the challenge of finding candidates for its municipal lists. Despite favorable demographic expectations, the party has struggled to finalize its lead candidates, especially in major cities like Barcelona, where the intended mayoral candidate withdrew at the last minute.

"We are in talks with different people who could lead the list."

Among the announced recruits is a former councilor from Junts for Amposta, who had previously been a member of Convergència. The candidacy of a geologist and company director for Berga has also been confirmed, though her designation caused discontent among local affiliates due to a lack of standard procedures.
Other candidates include a lawyer from Reus, linked to the independence movement and an advisor to those prosecuted for October 1st; a History student for Figueres; a healthcare professional with over three decades of experience for Tàrrega; and another healthcare professional for Banyoles, a defender of the Catalan language and culture.
The list of candidates is completed by a teacher and psychopedagogue for Roda de Ter, who is already an independent councilor and had been linked to Junts; and a former local deputy secretary of the PSC for Tortosa, who previously ran with Aliança Catalana in the 2024 Catalan elections.
