The Alt Empordà region enters the final stretch of Carnival festivities this February with a program blending popular traditions and artistic proposals across several towns.

In L'Escala, Monday, February 16, will feature the traditional Burial of the Sardine. Events start with a community lunch at the Municipal Multipurpose Hall, followed by a funeral procession to the beach for the final farewell ceremony.
In Figueres, the Fages de Climent Library offers a cultural alternative with the exhibition Amb Llei, Amb Llar by Nicolae Popescu, alongside book club sessions discussing works by Eulàlia Canal and Sònia Lleonard.
