Municipalities across the Alt Empordà region celebrated Carnival this weekend by balancing festive spirit with safety, adjusting schedules to cope with adverse weather conditions.

In l'Escala, the main parade on Sunday featured a thousand participants. The group Punt de Soldadura won the best float award, while CER took the prize for best troupe and Les Trapelles was recognized for originality.
In Roses, Saturday's outdoor activities were moved indoors following Civil Protection advice. However, Sunday saw a massive turnout with over 5,000 people marching along Rhode Avenue.
