The Catalan Meteorological Service has issued weather warnings for this Thursday as Storm Pedro approaches, bringing potential wind gusts exceeding 120 km/h to the Alt Empordà region.

The winter storm is expected to hit Catalonia with significant force. While the episode may not be as widespread as previous ones, winds will be particularly violent in mountainous areas, Tarragona, and Alt Empordà, where gusts could reach 130 km/h.
Civil Protection has activated the Ventcat alert plan. Authorities advise caution during outdoor activities. The storm will also bring snow to the Pyrenees, with the snow level dropping to 1,200 meters before conditions stabilize over the weekend.
