A total of 26 businesses in Figueres received the 'Comerç amb Valor' distinction at an event held at the Museu del Joguet de Catalunya. This initiative, promoted by Pimec Comerç Girona, aims to highlight businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to social cohesion, local welfare, and environmental awareness.
The selection process for the establishments was carried out by an evaluation committee that reviewed each business's commitment to the values promoted by the seal. The objective is to give visibility to businesses in the Girona regions that foster a responsible, sustainable, and integrated business model within their social and economic environment.

During the event, the president of Pimec Comerç Girona thanked the support of the Figueres City Council, emphasizing the importance of public-private collaboration to boost the competitiveness of local establishments and promote their values. For his part, the mayor of Figueres highlighted that the establishments receive this distinction for their commitment to local and proximity products, sustainability, waste reduction, the defense of dignified employment and work-life balance, as well as their active participation in the social life of the city.
The Figueres city council continues to promote campaigns and initiatives to support commerce, such as discount vouchers, with an investment exceeding 670,000 euros. With the 'Comerç amb Valor' distinction, Pimec Comerç Girona aims to recognize this work, give it public visibility, and encourage more businesses to adopt a responsible business model aligned with community needs.
