A cat named Mila is in critical condition in L'Escala after suffering an attack that caused severe injuries to her mouth and paw, leading her family to initiate a fundraising campaign to cover veterinary expenses.

Mila, a cat residing in the Rosa Lau neighborhood of L'Escala, is under continuous veterinary care following an assault that has inflicted very serious injuries. According to her family, the incident occurred on Sunday, May 31st, when the animal was found in critical condition near her home and had to be rushed to a veterinary clinic. As a result of the attack, Mila has undergone two surgeries on her mouth and remains under treatment.
The family explained that prompt intervention was crucial for stabilizing the animal. "She arrived in very bad condition at our doorstep, almost dead, and we had to take her to the emergency vet immediately," they recounted. Despite initial improvements, her condition remains very delicate and requires constant monitoring. The most affected area is her mouth, as it is believed she was struck with a shovel. Mila requires another operation, having already had four pins placed to help mend her jaw. The family also suspects she was scalded with boiling oil on her face and that she arrived with a broken paw.
Given the severity of the injuries and the high financial cost of the necessary procedures, the family has launched a solidarity campaign to raise funds. The various surgeries and medical tests have incurred expenses that exceed their financial capabilities. "The cost of the veterinary care she requires is very high, and we do not have the necessary resources to face this process. Any help, no matter how small, brings us a little closer to being able to provide her with the treatment she needs," they stated.
For those wishing to contribute, the family has provided two phone numbers: 621 264 435 and 621 264 301, where more information can be obtained and donations can be made via Bizum. They also request maximum dissemination of the case to reach more people. Currently, there is no official information regarding the identity of the person responsible for the acts.
