The 10th Nautical Jazz Festival in Empuriabrava has launched with a large public turnout at the Plaça de les Palmeres, solidifying its status as a key summer cultural event.

The tenth edition of the Nautical Jazz Festival in Empuriabrava began last night with a significant public response. The Plaça de les Palmeres was filled to enjoy the first of the three scheduled performances, celebrating a decade of commitment to live music and jazz in a unique setting within the municipality.
Big Mama Montse & Captain’s Brotherhood Sextet were responsible for inaugurating the festival, delivering an energetic performance that resonated with the large audience, transforming the square into a grand open-air stage.
The combination of music, summer night, and the Empuriabrava environment created an exceptional atmosphere, highlighting the positive reception of this cultural event, now a fixture in the summer calendar of Castelló d'Empúries.
The mayor of Castelló d'Empúries, Anna Massot, positively assessed the festival's start: «Seeing the Plaça de les Palmeres full of people, enjoying the music and the atmosphere, is the best way to begin this very special edition. The Nàutic Jazz has grown and consolidated over these ten years and today it is an event that is already part of Empuriabrava's summer».
Massot emphasized the uniqueness of the venue and the municipal commitment to an inclusive cultural program: «We have a privileged stage and we want citizens and visitors to enjoy it through culture. Investing in quality, free, open-air concerts is a way to build community, create meeting spaces, and continue making Empuriabrava a vibrant and culturally active place».
The festival will continue on August 20th with a performance by Louise Messenger & «Empuriabrava Stompers», and will conclude on August 27th with Benjamin León piano trio & Gemma Abrié.
All concerts will take place at 10 PM in the Plaça de les Palmeres in Empuriabrava with free admission.
