The Castle of Vilamaniscle, located at the upper part of the village, is characterized as a large fortified manor house resembling a robust farmhouse. Its dating is complex, and the urban center's houses have been built around it. The name 'castle' likely stems from its considerable size and prominent position.
The building has a rectangular layout with a ground floor and two upper levels, topped by a gabled roof. The main facade is notable for a large voussoir portal with a semicircular arch, crafted from well-cut limestone. Above the keystone, a relief emblem with baroque decoration bears the inscription "Nada sin Dios".
The rubble masonry is visible throughout the structure, except around the openings, where finely dressed ashlar stones visually emphasize them. The upper part of the facade and the north wall retain two large corbels that likely supported a defensive machicolation. The west wall still features arrow slits, while some openings, now blocked, were once embrasures.
