Both Peralada and L'Escala have begun planning for the upcoming Tercera Federación season with a strategy of continuity. The two teams from Alt Empordà aim to consolidate their sporting projects by avoiding major changes to their squads, a tactic that contrasts with the more significant overhauls of previous summers.
Peralada, under the guidance of Àlex Marsal, will embark on its fourth season as head coach. Marsal has established himself as a key figure in the club's model. In addition to the renewal of the Girona-born coach, the continuity of important players such as Carles Gallardo, Llorenç Busquets, and Pol Blay has been confirmed. These footballers, with several seasons at the club, will need to take on greater leadership roles following the anticipated retirements of Sergi Romero and the potential departure of Alan Baró.
Meanwhile, L'Escala is also betting on retaining the core of its team, although the continuity of coach David Gurillo has not yet been confirmed. The 'anxover' club has announced several renewals, including goalkeeper Jona Morilla, who will become the player with the most consecutive seasons at the club, and other players who saw significant game time last season such as Marc Bech, Haji Ceesay, Umaru Trawally, and Joan Maynau. Erik Saavedra, Guillem Falgueras, and Robert Mitrea will also continue.
The L'Escala club has also confirmed its first signings. Central defender Gil Bertrana, from Vic, arrives to strengthen the defense, while midfielder Jordi Manzano, who previously played for Peralada, joins the creative line. These additions come amidst significant departures, including the retirements of Marc Gelmà and Josu, and the exits of top scorer Expósito and defender Elián.
