The beach of Empuriabrava hosted this Saturday the 10th edition of the Beach Rugby Tournament, a consolidated sporting event that brought together players, female players, and fans. The day was marked by sport, camaraderie, and a great atmosphere.
Organized by the Rugbi Club Alt Empordà, the tournament celebrated its tenth anniversary with the participation of eleven teams, seven male and four female. The competition has once again turned Empuriabrava beach into a meeting point for rugby enthusiasts.
In the men's category, the Rucs d’Empuriabrava took first place, followed by Aviron Castrais and RC Banyoles, who completed the podium. In the women's competition, the Foques Lleopàrdiques were the winners, with the Valkyries d’Empuriabrava in second place and the Pussyflies de Banyoles in third.
The mayor, Anna Massot, and the first deputy mayor, Antonio Martín, attended the event and presented the trophies to the winning teams.

With this tenth edition, the Beach Rugby Tournament continues to consolidate itself as one of the prominent sporting events of the summer in Empuriabrava, promoting the values of sport, teamwork, and coexistence in a privileged environment.
The Town Hall of Castelló d’Empúries congratulates the Rugbi Club Alt Empordà for the organization, and also recognizes the involvement of the participating teams, volunteers, and the attending public, who have made this beach rugby festival possible.
