Vilafranca cyclists Nil Solà and Jackie Gómez have been crowned champions of the ninth edition of the Santa Fe-La Granada Cronoescalada, held this Saturday. Gómez achieves her third consecutive victory, while Solà wins for the second year in a row.

The race, which featured 51 participants, covered the 830 meters between the church of Sant Fe and the castle of La Granada. The atmosphere was notable throughout the competition.
In the women's category, Jackie Gómez recorded a time of 3:56, beating her previous year's record by one second. Second place went to Foix Ortiz (4:05), and third to Lídia Garcia (4:46).
Meanwhile, Nil Solà improved his time from last year, winning with 2:57. This record is the third best in the race's history and the fourth time someone has gone under three minutes. The men's podium was completed by a three-way tie for second place between Lluís Pérez, Carles Batet, and Gerard Suriol, all with 3:02.
The Santa Fe-La Granada Cronoescalada has a solidarity component, as the registration fee is a one-liter bottle of olive oil donated to the Food Bank. The race is part of the events for the Festa del Most de La Granada and the Festa Major de Santa Fe del Penedès.
