The Fiestas del Carmen in Empuriabrava have concluded their 2026 edition with high attendance, establishing themselves as one of the most significant summer events in the municipality.

Over five days, from July 15 to 19, the town hosted a diverse program that integrated family activities, concerts, and popular events such as sardanas and habaneras. The traditional procession of the Virgin of Carmen through the canals was once again a highlight of the celebration, which ended on Sunday with a pyromusical show on the beach.
The main novelty this year was the I Drone Show Festival Empuriabrava. This technological proposal gathered thousands of people on the promenade to witness four shows that highlighted the maritime identity and natural heritage of the area. The event was designed as a prelude to the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Empuriabrava, which will take place in 2027.
The organizers highlighted the coordination between municipal services, the Local Police, and the Festivities Commission, which allowed activities to take place in a civic and family-friendly environment. The success of this edition reaffirms a festival model that balances tradition with innovation.
