The Figueres City Council inaugurated the remodeling of Pujada del Castell this Saturday, a project that transforms the street into a major urban gateway to the Dalí Museum.

The event took place on a sunny spring day, drawing large crowds to the area. The renovation includes wider sidewalks, new urban furniture, and designated loading zones, allowing local bars and restaurants to set up their first outdoor terraces.

"It is a great day for the city and for a street that is part of Figueres' collective history."

Jordi Masquef · Mayor of Figueres
Mayor Jordi Masquef acknowledged the work of his predecessor, Agnès Lladó, as the project began during the previous term. The construction by Construccions Rubau faced technical challenges due to the rocky terrain and the need to modernize old underground utility networks.
