A person was evacuated to Figueres Hospital after suffering discomfort and possible burns while repairing a gasoline leak on a boat in L'Escala's port.

Emergency services received the alert at 00:23 AM this Wednesday. The incident occurred at the port of L'Escala, specifically in the sea area in front of Gat Blau.
According to information provided to the emergency teams, the affected person was repairing a gasoline leak on an moored boat when they began to feel unwell and reportedly suffered some burns.
Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) worked for approximately 40 minutes to secure the vessel and confirm there were no active leaks. The Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan Police) also attended the scene to investigate the circumstances of the incident, as the exact cause of the discomfort was not fully clarified.
The intoxicated individual was transported by ambulance via the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM - Emergency Medical System) to Figueres Hospital for medical attention.
