Jordi Jacas plans expansion of El Molí de l'Escala hotel with four new rooms

The head of the iconic Alt Empordà establishment reaffirms his commitment to historical heritage and gastronomy.

The manager of El Molí de l'Escala, Jordi Jacas, has announced an upcoming expansion of his hotel services in l'Escala this March 2026, restoring historic areas of the building.

The iconic Alt Empordà establishment, with roots dating back to the 18th century, is entering a new phase of growth. The Jacas family has managed the site since 1982, though it officially opened as a restaurant in 1994.

Regarding the immediate future, Jacas confirmed that the hotel, which opened in 2016, will add four new rooms. these will be located in historic sections of the mill, carefully restored to preserve the building's 300-year heritage.
