Federation of Passions Renews Board in Sant Climent Sescebes

The Federació Catalana de Passions held its Ordinary General Assembly in Sant Climent Sescebes, renewing confidence in Jordi Carapuig as president and approving the year's accounts.

The Federació Catalana de Passions held its Ordinary General Assembly last Saturday in Sant Climent Sescebes. The meeting brought together representatives from various Passions entities in Catalonia, aiming to foster the preservation and promotion of this cultural heritage.
The day began with a welcome from the mayor of Sant Climent Sescebes, Marc Sala, at Font Pudosa, followed by a fellowship breakfast. During the gathering, the potential incorporation of the Passió de Figueres into the Federation, represented by Josep Manchón, was discussed.
The General Assembly took place at the Sala Cooperativa, where the accounts for the 2025 fiscal year were approved, the balance of activities for 2026 was presented, and an update on the current year's account execution was provided.
The renewal of the Board of Directors resulted in the re-election of Jordi Carapuig as president for the next two years. The incorporation of Laura Almirall, from the Passió de Cunit, to the Communication and Advertising area was also approved.
The new Board is constituted as follows: President, Jordi Carapuig; Vice-President, Carles Malfeito; Secretary, Jaume Amorós; Treasurer, Jaume Rossich; Communication and Advertising, Jordi Bassa and Laura Almirall; Social Area, Jordi Ros; Archive, Maria Valle Fernández; Feminisms and Equality, Sonia Dalla; and Institutional Relations, Xavier Cañabate.
Concurrently, accompanying attendees enjoyed a guided tour of the historical and cultural landmarks of Sant Climent Sescebes.
The day concluded with a visit to Bodegues Terra Remota for a wine tasting, followed by a fellowship lunch at La Sala Concordia, marking the end of a meeting focused on coexistence and collaborative work.
The Federació Catalana de Passions continues its work to strengthen cooperation among the various Passions, promote shared projects, and enhance the cultural, heritage, and tourist projection of these representations that are integral to the identity of Catalonia.
